Below you’ll find a list of our favourite Australian wineries we think you need to visit this year. Starting off in the Southern Highlands, we’ve then chug on over to Canberra for some cool climate wine before we set sail for the Margaret River. Making moves out to the Yarra Valley, we then finally finish off in a German inspired town in South Australia – each unique in their own sense and style.

Mittagong, Southern Highlands, New South WalesSet in the Southern Highlands, two hours out of Sydney, is one of the best wineries in Australia, Artemis Wines. Relatively new on the scene, Artemis is led by two brothers who started the esteemed vineyard back in 1996. One of the first winemakers to plant pinot noir in the region, today they make headlines for their cool climate grapes, dabbling in red, white, rosé and sparkling varieties. Their cosy cellar door offers tastings, lunch and even wedding recovery day parties too.
