The Cowra Wine Region includes Cowra, Grenfell, Billimari and Canowindra, around 4.5 hours drive west of Sydney via Bathurst or Orange. The warmer climate produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Chardonnay varieties. There are over 30 vineyards and 7 cellar doors, plus classic country pubs and local restaurants featuring local produce.
