The not as well-known wine producing district of Hastings is a short drive from Port Macquarie and 4 hours north of Sydney. Boasting the well-known Cassegrain Winery with a cellar door and restaurant, there are also several smaller and enjoyable wineries to visit, including Douglas Vale Wines. Chardonnay, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot and Chambourcin are produced here-all, which can be matched with local fresh seafood.
